Jay Parikh, P.E. - Principal
Over the course of his career, Mr. Parikh has demonstrated a passion for providing economically innovative energy solutions.
Mr. Parikh has served as one of Elara’s Principals since 2006. Prior to Elara, he was Project Engineer at Abbott Laboratories from 1997 to 2006 where he managed the design and implementation of large-scale capital projects and previously, as an Energy Engineer, managed Abbott Laboratory’s energy program. Prior to Honeywell’s acquisition of Arrowhead Environmental Control (Arrowhead) in 1999, Mr. Parikh served as Project Engineer in the firm from 1989 to 1997.
Caitlin A. Levitsky - Principal

Through her managerial roles, Ms. Levitsky has exhibited a drive to build and operate a versatile and talented organization singularly focused on client satisfaction.
Ms. Levitsky currently serves as a Principal at Elara Engineering with a focus on operations, sales efforts, and business management for the firm. Prior to her role as a Principal, Ms. Levitsky served as an Associate Principal (2017-2021) and as Elara Engineering’s Operations Manager (2008-2016) with responsibility for oversight of Elara’s Operations and Engineering Teams. Caitlin oversees project scheduling, resource allocation and optimization, and coordination of marketing efforts as well as human resource activities that include staffing, recruiting, employee development and performance reviews. Previous to her role as Operations Manager, Ms. Levitsky was a Junior Mechanical Engineer (2007-2008) and a CAD Technician (2006-2007) with Elara.
Bhupendra V. Tailor, P.E. - Principal
With an extensive and varied project resume, Mr. Tailor effectively applies his diverse technical expertise to minimize project costs and ensure that electrical designs are tailored to a client’s specific needs providing maximum flexibility at the lowest cost.
Mr. Tailor currently serves as a Principal at Elara Engineering with a focus on engineering and sales efforts for the firm. Prior to his role as a Principal, Mr. Tailor served as an Associate Principal (2020-2021) and also continues to serve (as he has since 2015) as Elara Engineering's Electrical Team Leader, directing a team of 6-8 electrical engineers and support staff. Prior to this role, he was Senior Electrical Engineer (2013-2015) and Electrical Engineer (2009-2013) at Elara, Vice President of Engineering (2001-2009) at HMS Engineering in Chicago and an Electrical Engineer at Emkay Consultants (1996-2000) and Electrical Contractor Company (1992-1996) in Bombay, India.
Brian Malone, P.E. - Principal

Over the course of his career, Mr. Malone has modeled a commitment to quality and detail to deliver robust, technically sound solutions for complex projects.
Mr. Malone currently serves as President and a Principal at Elara Engineering with a focus on engineering and sales efforts for the firm. Prior to his role as a Principal, Mr. Malone served as an Associate Principal (2017 -2021) and as a Mechanical Team Leader and Senior Project Engineer (2014-2016). In these roles, he leads a team of approximately 3 to 5 mechanical engineers and support staff and serves as engineer-in-charge and primary contact for new construction, renovation and energy retrofit projects for a wide variety of system types and complexities including geothermal, variable refrigerant flow and high efficiency boiler designs. Previous to his role as Mechanical Team Leader and Senior Project Engineer, Mr.Malone was a Mechanical Engineer at Elara from 2006 to 2014.
Matthew D. Swanson - Principal

Throughout his career, Mr. Swanson has championed understanding and effective communications to ensure energy efficient, practical designs.
Mr. Swanson currently serves as a Principal at Elara Engineering with a focus on engineering and business development efforts for the firm. Prior to his role as Principal, Mr. Swanson served as an Associate Principal (2017-2021) and as a Senior Project Engineer (2016) managing multiple teams of multidisciplinary design professionals on numerous new construction and renovation projects. Previous to his role as Senior Project Engineer, he served as manager (2013-2015) of Elara’s Energy Team in a mentorship role for entry level engineers along with oversight of all energy team projects. Earlier in Mr. Swanson’s career, he worked at Elara as a Senior Mechanical Engineer (2010-2013) and as a Mechanical Engineer (2006-2010).
Dustin K. Langille - Principal
BEMP, HDBP, LEED AP
Driven by his career-long passion for energy efficiency, Mr. Langille is an industry expert on energy modeling and the implementation of green technologies.
Mr. Langille currently serves as a Principal at Elara Engineering with a focus on engineering and sales efforts for the firm. Prior to his role as a Principal, Mr. Langille served as an Associate Principal (2020-2021) and also continues to serve (as he has since 2016) as a Mechanical Team Leader leading a team of 3-5 mechanical engineers and support staff. With expertise in energy modeling and renewable energy systems design, including geothermal, photovoltaic, and solar thermal design, he led Elara's energy modeling program including the adoption of cutting-edge modeling software (IESVE, TRNSYS). Previously, Mr. Langille was a Senior Mechanical Engineer (2013-2016) and Mechanical Engineer (2010-2013) with Elara.
Steven D. Maze - Principal
Mr. Maze has demonstrated a passion throughout his career for integrating innovative energy solutions with practical engineering designs.
Mr. Maze served as President and one of Elara’s Principals since the firm’s founding in 2001 until 2021. Prior to starting Elara, he was Construction, Controls and Engineering Manager for Honeywell after Honeywell’s 1999 acquisition of Arrowhead Environmental Control (Arrowhead). At Arrowhead, Mr. Maze held several positions including: Vice President and Partner from 1996 to 1999, Engineering and Construction Department Manager from 1994 to 1996, and Engineering Department Manager from 1989 to 1994.
Donald J. McLauchlan, P.E. - Principal
CEM, LEED AP
Throughout his career, Mr. McLauchlan has demonstrated a passion for energy efficiency which has been the catalyst for his numerous innovative engineering solutions.
Mr. McLauchlan has served as one of Elara’s Principals since the firm’s founding in 2001. Prior to that he was Technical Solutions Leader and General Manager for Honeywell after Honeywell’s 1999 acquisition of Arrowhead Environmental Control (Arrowhead), the company he owned and was President and CEO of from 1978 to 1999. Prior to being President and CEO of Arrowhead, Mr. McLauchlan held Service Manager, Service Technician, and Pipefitter positions for the same company after initially starting as a part-time, summer employee in 1963.
